The occasion of the 250th anniversary of the French and Indian War (2004-2010) has inspired historians, educators, filmmakers and others to examine the conflict that Winston Churchill called "the first world war." A range of new educational resources has been developed, which will enable teachers and students to “change the conversation” about this critical period in our history. Educator's GuideThe Educator’s Guide is a 28-page booklet containing standards-based lessons and activities, discussion questions, small and large group role-plays, mock trials and collaborative research. The Guide is designed to be used in conjunction with the Student Resource Pages, maps, and the Companion Book. Teachers may also want to introduce students to the period of the French and Indian War and the issues of the time through biographies of various individuals. Educational Resources BrochureOther resources that are available to support and enhance classroom teaching about the French and Indian War can be found in the Educational Resources Brochure (.pdf) which includes teacher education kits, special anniversary publications, advanced placement workshops and additional online resources.
